College Receives $600k Mental Health Awareness Grant- Goodland, KS. (10/08/2026)  – Fort Hays Tech | Northwest has been awarded funds by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) to train individuals and communities on how to recognize and safely respond to mental health crises.

Goodland, KS. (07/14/2026)  – Fort Hays Tech | Northwest in Goodland, KS has announced the names of full-time students who earned spots on the President’s and Dean’s honor lists for the 2026 Spring semester. 

Students on the President’s Honor List earned a perfect 4.0 grade point average, while students on the Dean’s Honor List earned a GPA between 3.5 and 3.99.

Goodland, KS – [March 27, 2026] — Fort Hays Tech | Northwest announced today that it has earned the 2026-2027 Military Friendly® Schools Designation, recognized as a Silver Level School. 

Institutions earning the Military Friendly Schools® designation were evaluated using both public data sources and responses from a proprietary survey. Over 3,200 companies participated in the Military Friendly® survey. 

Goodland, KS – [February 27, 2026] – Fort Hays Tech | Northwest celebrated a major milestone today with the official ribbon cutting of the Tiny Tigers Child Care Facility and the dedication of the Schears Family Center for Innovation & Design. Community members, students, faculty, staff, donors, legislators, and regional partners gathered to mark the occasion and tour the newly completed facilities.
