  • CSA Cattle

    We are looking for a reliable, self-motivated individual to join our team on a small feedyard and cow/calf operation. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, solving problems, and being a jack-of-all-trades around a ranch.

    The right person will have welding experience and be comfortable helping with a variety of day-to-day ranch and maintenance tasks.

    Responsibilities may include:
    Welding and building gates, pens, and other ranch infrastructure
    General repairs and maintenance around the yard
    Operating equipment and helping with projects
    Driving a feed truck when needed
    Assisting with general feedyard and cattle operation tasks

    Ideal candidate:
    Has welding experience
    Is dependable and self-motivated
    Enjoys hands-on work and problem solving
    Willing to learn and help wherever needed
    Comfortable working around livestock and equipment
    Agricultural or ranch experience is a plus but not required

    Schedule:
    Typical work hours are 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
    Additional hours during harvest or busy seasons as needed

    We are looking for a team player to provide quality and efficient maintenance support for all the feedlot steel structures and water systems.

    This person will be responsible for:
    Ensuring safety is a priority for oneself, as well as all employees. Supporting the Adams Land & Cattle Safety Program and exemplifying safety expectations.
    Maintaining the feedlot's infrastructure to ensure a safe, clean, and efficient environment that supports the health, welfare, comfort, and proper containment of cattle.
    Performing upkeep, including preventive and corrective maintenance of feedlot fences, uprights, neck rails, and bunk cables, as well as facilities (e.g. processing barns, hospitals, feed mill).
    Maintaining and repairing water tanks and main lines.
    Welding to complete repairs.
    Upkeeping grounds (e.g. mowing/weed control).
    Safely operating equipment, such as skid steer, forklift, tractor, backhoe, mini excavator, etc.
    Housekeeping/organization or work area(s), equipment, truck(s), and materials used by team.
    Supporting Machine Shop activities.
    Supporting project activities as needed.

    Ideal candidate would possess the following qualifications:
    Mechanical interest and aptitude.
    Welding experience, knowledge, and skills.
    Any Water systems, electrical, and hydraulic experience a plus.
    Commitment to safety and quality culture.
    Ability to use analytical techniques for problem solving, coordination, and decision making.
    Driven, organized, action-oriented, analytical, and ability to multi-task.
    High attention to detail.
    Individual must be team oriented.
    Proven professional communication and customer service skills.

    This position requires:
    -Individual must be able to work in adverse weather conditions.
    -Exerting 50-100 pounds of force occasionally; 25-50 pounds of force frequently; 10-20 pounds of force constantly. Standing, sitting, walking, carrying and lifting/lowering, pushing/pulling, bending, twisting, climbing, reaching/handling/grasping and kneeling/crouching frequently; crawling and stairs occasionally.
    -Valid Driver's License.

    Compensation Details:
    Starting Wage: $19.00 to $23.00 per hour.
    $2,500 Hiring Bonus

    Duties

    - Support crop growth by planting, watering via irrigation systems and harvesting.

    - Maintain cleanliness of work areas, storage facilities, to promote a safe and organized environment.
    - Follow safety procedures diligently during heavy lifting, operation of heavy equipment, or handling hazardous materials.

    Requirements
    Experience on a farm or agricultural setting is preferred.
    Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience repairing farm machinery or equipment.
    Ability to operate heavy equipment, power tools, and hand tools safely and effectively.
    Familiarity with irrigation systems, and general farming techniques.
    Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
    Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
