Fort Hays Tech | NW Engineering Technology Instructor Michael Zimmerman Receives KCWE Excellence in Teaching Award
Goodland, KS – [October 2, 2025] – Fort Hays Tech | Northwest is proud to announce that Michael Zimmerman, instructor in the Engineering Technology program, has been awarded the Excellence in Teaching Award by the Kansas Council for Workforce Education (KCWE). The award was presented on Wednesday, October 1, during KCWE’s annual Leadership Awards program, which honors outstanding achievements in career and technical education across Kansas. (kcwe.org)
The Excellence in Teaching Award recognizes a faculty member who demonstrates exceptional teaching abilities, a commitment to career and technical education, and strong student engagement both in and out of the classroom. Zimmerman was selected for his dedication to hands-on learning, his industry partnerships, and his ability to inspire students to achieve their goals.
