    During the summer months, Adams Land and Cattle offers opportunities for individuals to assist on various projects throughout the feedyard. This would be a full-time position in our Maintenance department.

    This person will be responsible for:
    • Assisting with general maintenance, service, and repair of feedlot facilities and equipment.
    • Assisting with feedlot concrete projects, including, but not limited to setting concrete forms, placing concrete, and spreading, leveling, and smoothing concrete.
    • Maintaining and repairing feedlot fences and steel structures that sustain optimum cattle welfare and containment.
    • Operating large articulating trucks with a water configuration for dust control.
    • Performing mowing and other duties for weed control.
    • Operating transport vehicles to perform various duties.
    • Working effectively in a team environment to complete the necessary daily tasks.
    • Supporting other lot maintenance activities and projects, as assigned.

    Ideal candidate would possess the following qualifications:
    • Commitment to safety and quality culture.

Considers the physical, cultural, psychosocial, spiritual, age specific and education needs of the patient in the plan of care. Plans care in collaboration with members of the multidisciplinary team. Reviews and revises the plan of care to reflect changing patient needs based on evaluation of the patient's status.
    Implements plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision of the activities of the healthcare team. Provides care based on provider orders and the nursing plan of care, in compliance with policies and procedures, standards of care, and regulatory agency requirements. Delegates appropriately and provides nursing supervision in the provision of care to patients by other licensed nurses and other personnel. Promotes continuity of care by accurately and completely communicating to other caregivers the status of patients for whom care is provided.
    Evaluates the patient’s and family’s response to care and revises the plan of care as needed. Evaluates patient’s progress towards goals and expected outcomes in collaboration with other healthcare team members. Evaluates patient’s response and the effectiveness of patient teaching.
    Documents assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the patient record. Documentation is legible, timely and in accordance with policy. Documentation reflects objective/subjective data, nursing interventions and patients' response to treatment. Implements provider orders accurately and in a timely manner.
    Contributes to nursing professionalism by providing care based on the best evidence available and may participate in research activities within clinical practice. Interacts and participates in the education, role development, and orientation of facility personnel, patients, students, families and visitors. Participates in clinical practice committees such as peer review, development of system within hospital and department, risk management, etc. Attends departmental meeting.
