Job Description
A Typical Day
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the effective execution of all maintenance and projects within the plants at HCC.
Job Responsibilities
Facilitate the development of a highly skilled, well trained, committed and engaged maintenance team to support the plant operations in their quest for high quality, low cost objectives.
Develop and maintain a safe and effective working environment. Assures that all jobs will be done economically, efficiently and safely.
Conduct team meetings daily, covering safety topics, and weekly, covering equipment, processes and expansion.
Reviews available planned job package for completeness and correctness.
Refines and finalizes labor, parts, and priorities for all tasks.
Responsible for planning/scheduling of preventative and predictive maintenance.
Ensures, at the start of the shift and throughout the day, the prompt assignment of mechanics to specific
Makes tactical decisions when necessary; staying as close to schedule as possible.
Follow-up with mechanics on suggestions of ways to improve either planning or job methods.
Provide detailed reports on downtime issues to promote proactive responses and practices.
Continuous participation in set up and maintaining the storeroom, shop and CMMS.
Use SAP to create and close work orders, enter equipment data, track inventory and train mechanics on the proper use of SAP.
Continue to promote and foster effective “partnering” relationships with all Operations personnel on an ongoing basis.
Provide and promote “Excellence” in customer service.
Maintain “On Call” status.
What You Will NeedHigh School Diploma and 4 years related experience, OR Associate's degree plus 3 years related experience, OR Bachelor's plus 1 year related experience.
Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts (days/swings/graveyard).
Experience working with Microsoft Office Software such as Word, Excel and Outlook
Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.

Physical Demands & Work Environment
This role requires physical exertion, exposure to potentially hazardous conditions or safety hazards. The majority of time is spending walking or standing.
There are occasional periods of sedentary work.
Is required to wear PPE and have a regular presence in manufacturing and warehouse environments in both temperature controlled and uncontrolled locations.

Electrical repair and upkeep of all plant electrical equipment, processes and Facilites in the areas of the cheese plants, milk receiving, whey plants, water treatment, and permeate plant. Job Responsibilities
Basic understanding of ladder logic and programming fundamentals.
Ongoing support of Operations and Maintenance Teams for their specific Control Systems, service needs.
Maintain documentation for all Control Systems and electrical schematics for Production Plants.
Assist engineering/maintenance in project checkouts during commissioning of new equipment.
Knowledge of single loop control instruments.
Assist in repair calibration of all peripheral electrical and electronic equipment to include thermal, ink jet, and direct thermal printers, motion and static scales in all plants to maximize effectiveness and quality of repaired equipment.
Assist in calibration of all instruments, to include flow, temperature, pressure, metal detection and analytical; document calibration data.
Troubleshooting of all PLC and control issues.
Understanding of AC and DC variable speed drives.
Able to troubleshoot and repair 480/277v, 240/120v, and 24v circuits.
Communicate in a team environment.
Properly prioritize issues and take personal accountability to make sure all repairs fit the core value of “excellence”
